Download RS1 files
This is the download area of the Icom R-8500. You can find
here *.rs1 files for the standard 16-bits Icom software. Due this 16-bits
version of Icom it takes a little time to complete these files, but these files
makes it easy to switch in less than a minute to a complete new set of
frequencies without programming each time you want to switch to another set of
frequencies. Special thanks to Dave for the UK files.
Dit is het downloadcentrum voor de Icom R-8500. Je treft hier *.rs1 bestanden
voor het 16-bits besturingsprogramma van Icom. Aangezien dit een tijdrovende
bezigheid is nodig ik iedereen uit zijn data beschikbaar te stellen zodat we
wellicht in de toekomst één download platform kunnen creëren. De onderstaande
bestanden zijn met grote zorgvuldigheid samengesteld, echter vanwege locale
wensen en omstandigheden zijn sommige kanalen voorzien van een lock-out:

Notes for scanning with 8.33 kHz air band spacing
|
Due the selectivity of the Icom
R-8500 receiver it is important to enter the correct specific frequency if
the ATC is using the frequency spacing of 8.33 kHz. For example in
Europe Maastricht Eurocontrol, Rhein and Kopenhagen uses in the UAC (Upper
Airspace Control) the 8.33 kHz spacing. When an ATC-controller orders a
pilot to "contact Maastricht on channel 132.635" you can enter the frequency
manual in your receiver 132.635 and you will receive the conversation, but
when you put this frequency in a memory-channel in your Icom R-8500 and use
the scan function, the receiver doesn't stop during activity on this
channel! The reason is that 132.635 is called a channel, this is not the frequency, the matching frequency for this channel is 132.6333 Mhz. Use this table to convert the channels to frequencies. More information about the 8.33 kHz spacing can be found on the Eurocontrol website
De reden hiervoor is dat 132.635 een z.g.n. channel is, dit is dus niet precies de frequentie, de bijbehorende frequentie voor deze channel is 132.6333 Mhz. Gebruik dus voortaan de tabel hiernaast om de juiste frequenties van de UAC te beluisteren als je de scan-functie gebruikt voor de luchtvaart!
